Gazprom dobycha Yamburg is a 100% ОАО Gazprom subsidiary.

Gazprom dobycha Yamburg LLC was established in 1984 by Decree of Ministry of gas industry of the Soviet Union. The Company had been called Yamburggazdobycha until January 29, 2008.

The core lines of production activity of the Gazprom subsidiary is gas and gas condensate production, its processing, geological prospecting works, construction and development of new gas, gas condensate and oil fields, their operation.

The share of Gazprom dobycha Yamburg in the total gas production of Gazprom accounts for 40%, 31 % in Russian gas production. In 2010 the Company produced over 203 bcm of gas and over 1, 5 mln tons of gas condensate.

Gazprom dobycha Yamburg owns licenses for the development of five fields: Yamburgskoye, Zapolyarnoye, Tazovsky, Yuzhno-Parusovoye and Severo-Parusovoye (the last three are being prepared for development).

The history of the Company started with the development of the Yamburgskoye field. Its initial reserves are 6.9 trln cubic meters of gas and 133 mln tons of gas condensate. Since the beginning of the field development over 4 trln cubic meters of gas and some 24 mln tons of gas condensate has been produced. Around 50 % of Gazprom dobycha Yamburg output is produced at the Yamburgskoye field but maximum production in its central part is in the past. Currently peripheral areas of the field are being intensively developed.

On October 1st, 2001 Gazprom dobycha Yamburg commissioned the largest in the world comprehensive gas treatment unit, design capacity of which is 35 bcm. The first gas was pumped from the Zapolyarnoye field into central gas transmission trunk lines of the country. Commissioning of the Zapolyarnoye field enabled to stop gas production decline in Russia. 100 bcm of gas per year are transported from the Zapolyarnoye field to the Unified Gas Supply System (UGSS) of Russia since 2004.

In 2007 the development of the Neocomian (Valanginian) deposit of the Zapolyarnoye field started. In the coming years two Valanginian comprehensive gas treatment plants are scheduled to be put into operation.

Gazprom dobycha Yamburg independently carries out geological prospecting works, annually allotting some EUR 100 mln on theses purposes. Only over five recent years the Gazprom subsidiary managed to increment reserves over 320 mln tons of oil equivalent, including 300 bcm of gas. The Company geologists discovered Yuzhno- and Severo-Parusovoye fields and 29 gas, oil and gas condensate deposits.

Gazprom dobycha Yamburg jointly with leading research organizations and production associations carries out research in a number of novel technologies and equipment samples, some of them are pioneer not only in the Russian Federation but also in the world. Among them is the technology of low-temperature rectification with temperature schedule up to – 50 centigrade; the development of a test model of the expander-generator unit, utilizing the energy of the pressure fall in the gas reduction assembly for power generation; implementation of supersonic technologies for efficient separation of liquid hydrocarbons from natural and associated gas (3-S technologies-Super Sonic Separator).

Innovative solutions based on IT-technologies are actively used in the Company’s production and management operation: the creation of geoinformation systems as well as implementation of integrated multi-level information and technological process management system at the Kharvutinskaya area which is the prototype of prospective unmanned technologies as well as implementation of information-management system of reporting my SAP ERP 2005 and electronic document management.

Following the principles of sustainable development Gazprom dobycha Yamburg is guided by keeping balance between economic, environmental and social objectives in all the aspects of activity. The Company not only fulfils the requirements of Russian environmental legislation but also tries to approach international environmental standards.

In 2009 the Environmental Policy of Gazprom dobycha Yamburg was carried into effect.

The means of achieving the objectives in environmental management is implementation and support of Environmental Management System established by international standard requirements ISO 14001.

Scales of Gazprom dobycha Yamburg production operation are commensurate with the amount of its social obligations to its employees and region. One of the paramount objectives of the Company is providing social welfare and worthy level of living of the employees. It is reflected in the wage policy, practice of labour safety, and also in social guarantees to the personnel.

Social responsibility of the Company is also reflected in the regional policy of the Company. Since the first days of its formation Gazprom dobycha Yamburg has been investing in the improvement of the quality life not only its employees but also inhabitants of municipal formations on the area of which the Company operates. A particular attention is paid to the Tazovsky region with which the Company has collaborated since 1992.During this period over RUB 8 bln was allocated to the social and economic development of the region. The Company has constructed residential housing, a hospital, a fire station, trading post for providing traditional activities of the indigenous peoples of the North, a pipeline 28 km in length, a motor road Novozapolyarny-Tazovsky 120 km in length.

Annually considerable means are transferred to the implementation of charity and sponsorship program which encourages the advancement of education, children’s sport and crafts, health service of municipal formations.
