The summer is a vacation season. The collective of Gazprom dobycha Yamburg is not an exception from the rule and this time of the year it is actively gaining strength before the next harsh winter. Nevertheless the workplaces in the company do not remain empty – in summer the Company hires students from Russian educational institutions for practical training.

To take practical training in the leading gas producing company of the country students must send a package of the required documents and a referral from the institute. However students must match several criteria: study in the third-fifth course majoring in speciality which is in demand in the Company and have the grade point average not lower four. All the received documents are thoroughly examined by a special commission which makes a decision on admitting of students.

The practice of providing temporary workplaces for students has already been in Gazprom dobycha Yamburg   for many years. It is advantageous not only for students who get practical knowledge and expertise but also for the Company. Practical training is a source of young employees. It helps to find promising young people who after graduating from higher educational institutions are invited to participate in program Successful Start. And then in case of their successful proceeding through all the stages of the Open Contest of Young Specialists young people obtain employment in the Company.

- The stretch goal for each working student is to demonstrate all his best qualities and approve himself as an initiative, responsible and proficient employee, - remarks the head of staff training division of Gazprom dobycha Yamburg Nikolay Maslakov. – Afterwards, it may help them in employment in a gas producing company.

This year 245 students plan to take summer practical training in Gazprom dobycha Yamburg, 56 young people are already at the temporary workplaces. The major part of students represents branch educational institutions with which Gazprom dobycha Yamburg concludes special Cooperation Agreement. The students who qualify in gas production, economics, IT (information technologies), technological-process automation, power are in high demand in the Company.
