In Moscow in the frames of XVIII forum of the International Fuel and Energy Association (IFEA) the N.K. Baibakov Public Award ceremony was held. Among the laureates are Sergey Akhmedsafin, deputy director general, chief geologist of “Gazprom dobycha Yamburg” and Sergey Kirsanov, deputy head of the Geological Directorate.

The team of geologists, which the “Gazprom dobycha Yamburg” employees entered, was awarded the prize for Gravimetrical monitoring of the control over the field development. This method was first applied abroad fifteen years ago. In Russia theoretical researches of the gravimetrical monitoring began in the 80-ies. But the equipment of those years failed to use this method. In 2003 “Gazprom dobycha Yamburg” company started to implement this technology successfully.

- During all this time we have been refining technologies, devices, and we can say that we keep abreast with the world developments,-said Sergey Kirsanov, deputy head of the Geological Directorate.

This method enables to monitor precisely many parameters of the field development and plan further volumes of hydrocarbon production competently.
