There are a few days left until one of the main Russian holidays. The employees of «Gazprom dobycha Yamburg» are preparing for the parade, which will be held on the 9th of May.  Along with this event the company holds charity actions dedicated to the Victory day. 

In the run-up to the 9th of May «Gazprom dobycha Yamburg» joined the international campaign St. George ribbon. This action has become an integral part of the Victory Day celebrations, in the course of which all the volunteers got St. George ribbons accompanied with slogans «I remember! I am proud!» and  «Attach if you remember!». This year the members of the Council of Young Specialists and Scientists of «Gazprom dobycha Yamburg» have held St.George ribbon action.

Charitable Campaign the Duty of Memory in honour of 64 anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War continued festive events. 67 members of the Council of veterans got targeted assistance from the gas producing company. The Duty of Memory action has been held by Public and mass media relations service for seven years. This year the Company allocated 200 thousand rubles to the support of veterans in the frames of the charity program. The employees of the Company personally visited all the veterans, congratulated them on the holiday, passed the words of congratulations of the director general of the company and handed over presents from «Gazprom dobycha Yamburg».

- I suppose it is the main holiday for our country, for our and the future generations, - said Boris Kasayev, employee of Public and mass media relations service. – Our Service carries out this mission with great pleasure. We are well-acquainted with all the veterans of the Great Patriotic War who live in Novy Urengoy. I consider that holding such actions speak of high moral potential of «Gazprom dobycha Yamburg», people who work here and operate production.

Among the volunteers who congratulated veterans were young specialists of the company. Thus the present generation fulfils its duty of memory to those who defended our country many years ago.

- I think that the youth must participate in this kind of events, - Vitaly Astakhov, member of Council of Young Specialists and Scientists, points out. – We should not forget about veterans, my grandfather went through the war. I would like to note that there is no good youth without good old men, and our old men are really good, as we have seen today, they are optimistic, vigorous and are able to outstart young people in something.

Besides supporting the members of the town Council of veterans the Company paid the premium timed to the holiday to the retired employees who took part in the Great Patriotic War. Alevtina Agafonova, veteran of the war, till up to the present working in the company, also has got premium and a gift timed to 9 May.
