"Gazprom to Children" program

It has become a good tradition, trademark of Gazprom that the company is an initiator of large socially significant projects among which is gasification of Russian regions, "Gazprom to Children" program. Support of childhood and youth, children’s creation, promotion of sport were and remain important lines of charitable activity of Gazprom itself as well of its subsidiaries.

«Gazprom dobycha Yamburg» contribution into implementation of large-scale program «Gazprom to Children» includes:

-       patronage over four municipal schools. In 2007 over 14,5 mln rubles was allocated to improvement of material and technical base of theses schools;

-       the Company scholarship to the top students of Novy Urengoy technical school of gas industry, Yamal oil and gas industry, Tyumen oil and gas university. In 2007 the Company transferred 252 thousand rubles on the payments of scholarships;

-       action "Christmas present", in the course of which over 4 thousand children of Novy Urengoy, settlements Tazovsky, Nakhodka, Tanama, Antipayuta, Gyda; the Tazovsky tundra annually get presents for the long-expected holiday;

-       yearly targeted social assistance (in the reporting year over 250 thousand rubles) to the gifted students of Novy Urengoy  art schools for participation in international contests. In 2007 году, thanks to  "Gazprom dobycha Yamburg" support, Е. Simenskaya, Е. Kornilina, E. Baltabayeva, E. Vagina, Yu. Lebedeva could participate in creative contests held in St. Petersburg, Paris, Rome.

-       sponsorship of contests "The Student of the Year", «Polar starlet» (Polyarnaya zvezdochka) and «Polar star» in Novy Urengoy (to be close to 200 thousand rubles);

-       support and development of children and youth sport in Novy Urengoy, Salekhard, Tyumen. Financial aid in the amount of 1 mln rubles has been rendered to Olympic reserve school "Siberian bears" (Sibirskiye medvedi) and Novy Urengoy division of Karate federation, Mini-football Federation of YaNAO, sport club "Samurai";

-       action «Summer is a small life", in the course of which some 6 thousand children of Novy Urengoy, Tazovsky region improve their health in children recreation camps;

-       job creation for teenagers during summer holidays (300 thousand rubles).

In 2007 the Company allocated 348 mln rubles for construction of sport complex in Novy Urengoy. Moreover «Gazprom dobycha Yamburg» completes the construction of its sport complex. Commissioning of this sport facility will be a remarkable event for the Company employees as well as the citizens of Novy Urengoy as the availability of sport facilities in the town makes only 24 % of standard demand.

Commissioning of a new sport complex in one of the pivotal regions of OAO Gazprom activity is primarily targeted at children’s sport development: on the base of the complex 1200 children-sportsmen will be able to perfect themselves in 20 kinds of sport including Olympic ones. It should be noted that on the basis of sport and fitness complex it is planned to realize the program of physical rehabilitation of disabled children, over 300 of them live in Novy Urengoy.

Over the past two years around 400 mln rubles was spent on the implementation "Gazprom to Children" Program.
